BUILD THE WORLD BEFORE YOU PLAN THE POST
Most content calendars start with dates: a post on Monday, a reel on Thursday, something for the weekend. That is how feeds end up full of things that are fine on their own and forgettable together.
Start with the world
Before we plan a single post, we write down the world the brand lives in. Who is there, what they wear, where they go on a Friday night, what the light looks like. It fits on one page, and it answers most creative questions before anyone asks them.
Then pick the formats
Once the world is clear, choose three or four formats that show it from different sides: a recurring series, a product moment, a person, a place. Repeating formats is not lazy. It is how people learn to recognise you before they see your name.
The calendar comes last
Now the dates are easy. Each slot is a format, each format belongs to the world, and the shot list almost writes itself. When a new idea comes up, you check it against the page rather than against a gut feeling.
